Stay Connected with Our Carpool Service
Our Carpool Service helps seniors get where they need to go. Whether it’s a doctor’s appointment, a social event, or just running errands, we make sure you have a safe and reliable way to get there.
How It Works:
- Easy Scheduling: You can book a ride by calling us or using our online system. We work with you to find a time that fits your schedule, making it easy to plan your day.
- Safe and Reliable: Our volunteer drivers are friendly and trained to ensure your safety. We help you from your door to the car and into your destination. You don’t have to worry about anything—we’re here to make your trip comfortable.
- Door-to-Door Service: We pick you up right at your home and take you exactly where you need to go, like the doctor’s office, a community centre, or even to visit a friend. We stay with you to make sure you get inside safely and are settled before we leave.
Benefits of the Carpool Service:
- Stay Active: Getting out and about helps you stay healthy. Whether it’s going to a community event, an exercise class, or just getting some fresh air, our service helps you stay active and feel your best.
- Make Friends: By helping you get to social gatherings, our service makes it easier to meet new people and keep in touch with old friends. This helps reduce feelings of loneliness and keeps you connected.
- Community Spirit: Our carpool service is run by volunteers, many of whom are seniors just like you. This creates a strong sense of community, where everyone is helping each other and staying involved.
- Intergenerational Connections: We encourage younger volunteers to join our Carpool Service as drivers or companions. This brings different generations together, helping to build understanding and friendships between young and old.
Leadership Opportunities: Seniors who are interested in more than just riding can take on leadership roles by helping to plan routes, coordinate rides, or even mentor younger volunteers. This empowers seniors to stay active and engaged in meaningful ways.

Grocery Drives
Convenient and Reliable Grocery Drives
Our Grocery Drives make sure seniors have the food they need without having to go out shopping. We bring groceries directly to your door, so you can eat well and stay healthy.
How It Works:
- Personal Shopping: You tell us what groceries you need, and our volunteers do the shopping for you. We make sure to get the exact items you want, including any special foods you might need for your diet. If you’re not sure what you need, we can help you plan your shopping list.
- Regular Deliveries: We deliver groceries every week or every two weeks, depending on what works best for you. We coordinate with local stores and markets, as well as Harvest Manitoba to provide you with high-quality, fresh food, so you always have what you need.
- Friendly Visits: When our volunteers deliver your groceries, they also take a moment to check in and chat. These friendly visits are more than just a delivery—they’re a way to stay connected and have someone to talk to regularly.
Benefits of the Grocery Drives:
- Stay Healthy: Having access to fresh, nutritious food is important for your health. Our service ensures you have the right foods to stay strong and manage any health conditions.
- Less Stress: Shopping can be difficult, especially if you have mobility issues or health concerns. Our service takes the stress out of getting groceries, so you can relax at home.
- Build Relationships: Our volunteers become familiar faces who visit regularly. These visits provide more than just food—they bring a sense of connection and community, making sure you don’t feel isolated.
- Cultural Sensitivity: We understand that everyone has different cultural and dietary needs. Our volunteers work with you to make sure you get the groceries that are important to you, including culturally specific foods.
Intergenerational Interaction: We also encourage younger volunteers to participate in our Grocery Drives. This brings different generations together, allowing for meaningful conversations and connections during the deliveries.
